Life Celebrations…

In this modern age, it can be hard to take time to appreciate life’s many important milestones.

A naming ceremony is a secular ceremony that gives parents an opportunity to publicly celebrating the arrival of a child into a family. Many parents have a naming ceremony around their child’s first birthday, but these events can be completely personalised for any age or stage of life.

Along with celebrating the birth of a child, families might choose to celebrate:

• The arrival of a foster or adopted child

• The (re)naming of a transgender person

• The announcing of important guardians, godparents or other adults in the family

• First period or ‘coming of age’ party

• Divorce, separation or emancipation parties
